ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Sigma USA has hired Chuck Sikora and Morgan Fluhrer to handle sales for the Midwest and South/Southeast, respectively, as the company transitions to selling direct to dealers. They join Brian McGarrahan, who handles sales for the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic.
Sigma USA said the three regional sales managers will focus on improving relationships with dealers and implementing a dual market approach to increase business with bike, run, tri and fitness retailers. Retailers will be able to purchase Sigma products from existing distributors or directly from the company.
In a press release announcing the change, Sigma said that this new approach will help satisfy retailers’ requests for better margins and competitive retail prices.
Retailers who order direct from Sigma will benefit from same-day shipping from Sigma’s 12,000-square-foot office and warehouse in St. Charles, Ill.
“As we continue to expand our product range to include GPS computers, smart watches, activity trackers, apps, motorcycle computers and more, we need to make sure that retailers and consumers have access to all of our products,” said Brian Orloff, managing director.
Sigma recently began shipping the RC Move smart watch that works with its iPhone MOVE app. The company’s new ACTIVO fitness trackers and MySpeedy speedometers will become available in June.
Sikora will handle the Midwest territory, which includes North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana and Ohio.
Fluhrer handles the South/Southeast regions including Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
McGarrahan handles the Northeast/Mid-Atlantic region including Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia.
