MADISON, Wis. (BRAIN) — The annual fundraiser for the Wisconsin Bike Fed put on by Saris every year will move from the Saris factory to the Madison Children’s Museum this year. The event, set for Oct. 10 at 7:30 p.m., will include live and silent auctions, food, drinks and guest appearance by cycling commentator Bob Roll.
This year’s event will take place on the evening following the Wisconsin Bike Summit.
Over the past decade, the Saris Gala has raised more than $800,000 for Wisconsin’s statewide nonprofit, making it one of the most successful single-night advocacy fundraisers in the country. Last year’s event alone raised more than $109,000 for bicycling in Wisconsin.
“We’re so grateful to Chris Fortune and the entire Saris family for all of the terrific support they’ve provided for the Bike Fed over the last decade,” said Dave Cieslewicz, executive director of the Wisconsin Bike Fed. “This has become a great way for the whole Wisconsin bicycling community to get together, raise some money for a good cause, and celebrate our successes.”
Tickets are $55 until Sept. 24 and go up to $75 after that. Tickets cost $90 at the door.
