NANJING, China (BRAIN) — Organizers of the Asia Bike show announced that they are moving the trade show into October to avoid overlapping with the Chinese Moon Festival holiday, which falls Sept. 19-21.
“These plans for the public holiday would have made it inconvenient for trade visitors to attend as well as for the consumers visiting on Sunday,” show officials said in a release.
Earlier this year, organizers had set dates of Sept. 19 to 22, 2013, for Asia Bike, and said it would move out on its own after coupling with the Asia Outdoor show for its first two years. Now it will take place October 10 to 13, 2013.
The venue will remain the same—the Nanjing International Expo Center will host the show. Demo Day will precede the indoor show, Oct. 9.
Asia Bike is a partnership between Messe Friedrichshafen, which also owns part of Eurobike and the Nanjing Expo Center. Organizers bill the show, which is going into its third year, as China's first exhibition for high-end bikes, accessories and apparel.
