Ribbon cutting of Louis Garneau USA's new office, warehouse and production facility

DERBY, Vt. (BRAIN) — Louis Garneau has cut the ribbon to a new, larger facility in Derby, Vermont, to house production, distribution, marketing, sales and administration staff for its U.S. office, which employs nearly 100 people.

The new 60,000-square-foot building represents an $8 million investment. The building was designed by Cross Consulting Engineers and built by DEW Construction Corporation.

The building offers improved production facilities with natural lighting and air purification systems, and larger office space. In addition, employees have access to the facility’s fitness center.

Louis Garneau produces a lot of its clothing for the U.S. market in Vermont. The Canadian brand’s U.S. offices were previously in Newport, Vermont.

“I want to thank my employees,” said company founder Louis Garneau. “Thanks to their hard work over the years, we have outgrown our previous facility and had to build this new factory. With the launch of complete bikes in the U.S. in 2015, we now have the room to continue to grow and to serve our U.S. customers.”

Garneau said the Canadian company’s U.S. business has grown over the last five years, prompting the move.

Louis Garneau’s new U.S. address is:

3916 US Route 5, PO Box 1460

Derby, VT 05829
