IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bosch is planning to exhibit for the first time at Interbike next month where it will have several bikes equipped with its mid-motor e-bike system from BH, Felt, Grace, Haibike and Lapierre, as well as cargo bikes from Xtracycle and Nikolai, on display at its booth.
Bosch’s Performance Line mid-motor pedelec system uses three sensors to monitor torque, power and speed to provide the optimum amount of pedal assist. The system is designed for the U.S. mandated maximum speed of 20 mph.
In addition to a booth, Bosch will also lead technical seminars on its system in partnership with Magura USA, its e-bike service provider. The seminars will be held Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 8 a .m. and 10 a.m. and in the afternoon at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.
“Pedelecs are having a very positive effect on how e-bikes are being accepted in the North American market,” said Claudia Wasko, business unit leader of Bosch eBike Systems in the U.S. “Interbike is the industry’s gathering place and we are looking forward to being there and working together with retailers and manufacturers to attract more people to cycling, no matter their ability level or where they ride.”
Interbike will be held Sept. 10-12 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
