SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Timbuk2 is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an updated Classic Messenger Bag it's calling "the World's Greatest Messenger Bag."
Updates to the brand's bread-and-butter model include as simplified organization, internal water bottle pockets and improved water resistance.
The new bag is 25 percent lighter thanks to use of Cordura 940D Endurance Nylon, which also offers higher tear strength and better water repellency. A double-loop cam buckle offers easy fit adjustment while eliminating excess webbing, an adjustable shoulder strap with a permanent air mesh strap pad adds comfort and new corner flaps keep out water. The new bag also has a low profile top grab handle.
"Timbuk2 products have always been designed to keep people moving, whether it's by air, bike, bus, car, foot or train," said Timbuk2 CEO Mike Wallenfels. "The newest generation of the Classic Messenger does just this, only better."
The new Classic Messenger is available made-to-order through the company's online Custom Bag Builder on www.timbuk2.com.
MSRP: $79 (XS), $89 (S), $99 (M), and $109 (L).
