LONGMONT, CO (BRAIN) — Lazer has stepped up its support of the Clif Bar CrossVegas by sponsoring the Elite Women's race. With Lzer's support the race is offering equal prize lists for the men's and women's events, with more than $8,700 in prizes being offered across 30 places.
Race directopr Brook Watts said Lazer has been a long-time sponsor of the event. "[F]or 2013 they've found a way to expand their role in a very positive way," Watts said.
Lazer-sponsored U.S. racer Amy Dombroski (Telenet-Fidea) said, "American cycling is making massive strides in a fight for equality, and I can only hope the rest of the cycling world can see the value in this."
