TREVISO, Italy (BRAIN) — Dart Frog is a new Italian downhill and freeride mountain bike component brand created by the Bettio family, whose primary business is manufacturing hubs for Go Kart wheels and stirrups for horseback riding saddles.

Dart Frog debuted its brightly colored, CNC machined pedals, 35 and 50-millimeter stems and bash guards at Italy’s ExpoBici show last month.

The product is all machined in Italy at the Bettios factory in Treviso in the heart of Italy’s cycling-centric Veneto region.

The aluminum Freeride pedal has a titanium axle and weighs 183.5 grams. It has 10 replaceable traction pins and uses sealed bearings with self-lubricating bushings. Downhill pedals are built with a steel axle. Stems come in 28.6 millimeter steertube size with zero rise and 35 millimeter stack height.

Dart Frog also makes spacer packs, fastener bolts and 42/44 and 32/34/36 bash guards. Product is available only in Italy now, but Dart Frog is seeking global distribution.
